Ellie's Room

I just got to thinking that not everyone has seen where Elizabeth is living while in our house. Here are a few pictures of her room that we took before she was born. It is a jungle theme. My good friend, Wendy Keeney, painted the palm tree and monkey ("Bananas") on the wall for us. They look amazing! Grandpa Gary made her unbelievable crib. It is so gorgeous! Last night, Saturday, she slept in her crib for the first time. She had been sleeping in a Moses Basket in our room, but made the switch last night and had a great night's sleep.

School & Family Time

On Wednesday afternoon, Elizabeth and I went to visit school. We visited my classroom, as well as both fifth grade rooms. Elizabeth was a big hit!!! I was extremely blessed to have a beautiful shower thrown to celebrate Ellie's birth. We received so many wonderful gifts, including lots of really fun clothes!!

After the baby shower at school, all three of us went to Great Grandma Kilmer's for dinner. Grandma gave Ellie the quilt she had made for her, which is absolutely gorgeous!! These pictures do not do it justice - it's unbelievable!! Make sure you ask to see it if you come by the house.

2 Weeks Old

Ellie went for her two week doctor's appointment Tuesday morning. She must be eating like a champ, because she is already up to 8 lbs., 3 oz.!! She was born at 7 lbs. even and had lost 8 ounces in the first few days. Needless to say, she's a growing girl! After her appointment she stopped and saw Grandma at school. She got to meet a lot of people around the building. After that she went to Daddy's office to hang out for a bit. In the afternoon, Ellie and Mom walked around town and visited with the girls in the administration office. Ellie even got to meet Mom's boss, Mrs. Prehm.

Trip to Aunt Becky & Uncle Rich's

Monday night, Elizabeth and Mom went with Grandma to visit Aunt Becky and Ashlyn while Uncle Rich and Grandpa were out fishing. Ashlyn enjoyed spending time with Elizabeth. She was more interested than she has been in the past. She rocked her back and forth in her car seat, patted her on the head, and poked at her nose and ears. Ashlyn was not a fan of any who was holding Elizabeth, as she felt that her spot was being taken!!! This was especially true when her daddy was holding Elizabeth - yikes! :o)

Ashlyn gives Elizabeth a kiss!

Grandma and Grandpa went shopping and here is an adorable little polar bear outfit that Grandpa picked out. Daddy is not a fan, but Mommy thinks it is adorable!!

Going to Mimi & Grandpa's

Yesterday, Saturday the 20th, Elizabeth finally got to go see Mimi and Grandpa's house! She got to meet cousins Brian and Lora, as well as the two dogs, Belle and Duke. After her visit to her grandparents, she went to check out cousin Jeff and Kim's winery. Then it was off to Gary and Gene Anne's house to watch the Penn State game. Another busy day for the beautiful little girl!

One Week Old +

Uncle Justen came home to visit this week. He finally got to meet Elizabeth on Wednesday, when she was 8 days old. He is quite taken with her.

Speaking of people who are in love, here Elizabeth is with her daddy. He's back to work this week, so little E enjoys when he comes home for lunch and to hang out with her. She knows that she already has daddy wrapped around her little bitty fingers.

Here she is looking shocked and confused, a common look. She likes hanging out in her Boppy pillow checking out what is going on around her. Thursday afternoon we went to school to visit. As the kids were leaving the building we stood outside so they could get a peek. Then we headed inside to spend some time with some of mommy's colleagues.

The Start of the Week

On Sunday, Elizabeth went to meet her friends at the Presbyterian Church. She was fantastic, giving love to Grandma through the entire service. After church, she made sure to say hello to Aunt Becky and Ashlyn. Ashlyn is interested in Elizabeth until she finds something else to be interested in (balloons, chocolate donuts, etc.). After lunch she spent the afternoon watching football with dad!

Monday night Elizabeth went to her Grandparents (Neiley's) for the first time. We hung out and had dinner. Grandma did not mind holding off on dinner in order to hold Elizabeth! We had to return home by 8:30 in order to watch Monday Night Football. Unfortunately, Elizabeth has not been the good luck charm her mom hoped for the fantasy football season. Hopefully things will pick up for this coming weekend.

Let's Go P-S-U!!!!

Elizabeth had the opportunity to go on her first official outing today - to the Wyalusing Valley Wine Festival! She was all decked out in her Penn State gear and enjoying the day (through her eyelids)! We came home in time for her to catch the kickoff of the Penn State - Syracuse game. She enjoyed watching the game with her Uncle Ethan! Later in the evening she went out to dinner at the Wyalusing Hotel with Mommy, Daddy, Mimi, Grandpa Mike, Uncle Ethan, and Tifany. What a busy day!
